Destiny was the main idea that was in the Alchemist. The author coelho said that we must always be the one that is controlling our destiny and not just let fate do so. Coelho showed us the effort Santiago made in order to get to his destiny by making sacrifices and by making the right decisions. Some people for example the baker didnt make an effort and believed that destiny is something you dont have to worry about since it will always end up happening the way its suppose too. People like the baker most often ignores the omens and their dreams and goes on with life unlike Santiago who had to take the first step by himself. Dreams and omens can be interpreted differently but its who interprets them the right way get to be content with the rest of their lives!
